Day 1: Arrival at Havana

Day 2: Breakfast. Orientation

of world heritage. Visit the room Ernest Hemingway stayed in in
the Ambos Mundos Hotel and the Bodeguita del Medio and Floridita
Restaurants, some of the US writer’s favorite haunts. Then
visit the Hemingway Museum at the Vigía Farm, his home in
Cuba . Have lunch in a restaurant that was linked to his life. In
the afternoon, go on a panoramic tour of the Capitol, Central Park
, Fraternity Park , Revolution Square and Colón Cemetery
. Return to your hotel. Departure from the hotel for the La Cabaña
Fortress to watch the 9 p.m. cannon-firing ceremony. Have dinner
in a local restaurant.
Havana - Viñales - Havana
Day 3: Breakfast. Departure
for the Valley of Viñales , in Pinar del Río Province,
the westernmost province in Cuba , where the best tobacco in the
world is grown. Visit a cigar factory. Go on a tour of the valley,
seeing the Mural of Prehistory. Have lunch in a local restaurant.
Optional visit to Indio Cave . On the way, visit the Tobacco Farmer’s
House (during the growing season), to see tobacco plantations and
learn how tobacco is grown and processed. Visit the Los Jazmines
Lookout Point. Return to Havana . Have dinner in your hotel. Evening
at the Salón Rojo Cabaret.
Havana - Cienfuegos - Santa Clara - Topes
de Collantes
Day 4: Breakfast. Departure
for the city of Cienfuegos . Go on a panoramic tour of the city
and have lunch in a local restaurant. Then go on to Santa Clara
, capital of Villa Clara Province . Go on a tour of the city, visiting
Ernesto Che Guevara Square and the armored train. Then go on to
Topes de Collantes. Check-in and dinner in a hotel in the mountains.
Topes de Collantes - Sancti Spíritus
Day 5: Breakfast. Visit
Guanayara Park , hiking a third of a mile (500 meters) along an
amazing natural path. Have lunch at Gallega House. Departure for
Trinidad , which UNESCO has declared to be a part of world heritage.
Go on a panoramic tour of the city, visiting the Romantic Museum
and the La Canchánchara Bar. Then go on to Sancti Spíritus,
seeing the Manaca-Iznaga Tower on the way. Go on a panoramic tour
of the city. Check-in at your hotel. Have dinner in a local restaurant.
Sancti Spíritus - Florencia - Santa
Clara
Day 6: Breakfast.
Departure for Florencia. Tour its natural park in the Cunagua Mountains
, going horseback riding and hiking along beautiful mountain trails.
Have a country-style lunch. Departure for Santa Clara . Check-in
and dinner in your hotel.
Santa Clara - Las Brujas
Cay - Santa Clara
Day 7: Breakfast.
Excursion to Las Brujas Cay, which has nearly 7 miles (11 kilometers)
of excellent-quality pristine beaches. The cay forms part of a new
tourist region that is linked to the mainland by a stone causeway
30 miles (48 kilometers) long. On the way, you’ll have a panoramic
tour of the city of Remedios . Free time at the beach. Have a seafood
lunch. Check-in and dinner in your hotel.
Santa Clara - Havana
Day 8: Breakfast. Transfer
to Havana , passing through Varadero, to catch your flight (or to
a hotel if you want to extend your stay). Free time in Havana while
waiting for your international flight. Transfer to the airport included.
